21st Annual Summer Graphics Camp at Chowan University in Full Swing

Press release from the issuing company

20 campers from the mid-Atlantic experience “life as a college freshman” and learn about graphic communications.

Murfreesboro, N.C. - The 21st Annual Summer Graphics Camp at Chowan University is in full swing! On Monday, June 23, students from four states arrived on campus for a week of immersion into the world of graphic communications. Students experience “life as a college freshman” by living in the dorms, attending classes and labs in the Horner Graphic Communications Center, enjoying the Hawk’s Nest for entertainment, and having most meals in the cafeteria. Thursday is set aside for a field trip to PBM Graphics in Durham, NC a major printing facility. All of this is included in the $150.00 camp fee. Students must be rising juniors or seniors.

Campers receive individual attention from instructors and lots of hands-on experience in package design, digital design, digital photography, offset, flexography, and screen-printing. Throughout the week students get the opportunity to learn what the field of graphic communications is all about.

For a free 2014 Summer Graphics Camp postcard book (designed by the campers) please contact Tom Brennan, Camp Director at [email protected] or call 252-398-6207.
