Creo Releases New OS X Version of Pandora

Press release from the issuing company

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA -- April 12, 2004 -- Creo is pleased to announce the release of Pandora 2.6 software, the step-and-repeat tool for folding carton and label manufacturers. Version 2.6 of Pandora, built for Mac OS X, includes performance enhancers-up to 90 percent over Pandora 2.5 running on OS 9. Pandora software uses open file standards such as PDF and JDF to enable seamless integration with many workflow systems. This easy-to-use software features innovative technologies such as SmartMarks and ShopMap software, and dramatically reduces the time it takes to create step-and-repeat layouts. "We were eagerly awaiting the release of Pandora 2.6, to complete the transition of all of our applications from OS 9 to OS X," said Steve Sostak, prepress supervisor, Fort Dearborn Company, Niles, IL. "We were expecting to see the OS X "flavor" of Pandora, and were very pleased with the results. What we were not expecting was such a performance boost! Already a very productive application, Pandora 2.6 built for OS X exceeds our expectations yet again, increasing our productivity." Pandora software and other new products will be demonstrated at the Creo booth at Drupa, Hall 4, Stand B10.
