Vertis Print Solutions, which delivers a broad range of full color sheet-fed offset production for short- and medium-run direct mail and advertising collateral, had to analyze its established workflows and quality control processes in order to achieve the ISO 9001:2000 standard. Following this analysis, an audit of every department was conducted by SGS Systems and Services Certification (SGS S&SC), a global leader in verification, testing, and certification services. The ISO’s 9001:2000 quality management standard proves Vertis’ ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements. “Vertis Print Solutions has developed and maintained an effective quality management system. The focus on the system and efforts to get the basics solidly in place over a short period is exemplary,” said Steve Zakrzewski, lead auditor at SGS S&SC. In addition, Vertis Europe mailing houses in Swindon, Croydon, and Leicester, UK, were awarded the Quality Standard Mailing Production accreditation in 2003.
