Classic’s Development Team Attends DrupalCon Austin 2014

Classic’s Development and InfoSec Teams attended DrupalCon held at the Austin Convention Center,  June 2nd-6th  More than 3,300 people attended this year’s annual North America event which offers educational and networking opportunities for the mix of developers, IT Managers, agencies and Fortune 500 companies that make up the Drupal community.  The week long conference allows for a dedicated focus to catch up on the latest Drupal technology, tips and tricks.  Additionally, attendees have an opportunity to connect with other members of the Drupal community beyond their immediate peers to make new connections.

This year’s program encompassed session tracks, peer discussions, new deep dive labs providing extra study time on topics that require more coverage, a community summit and Drupal Training.  Additionally, DrupalCon North America this year provided a forum for the community to work together on Drupal 8, the powerful upcoming release of Drupal.

DrupalCon is the heartbeat of the Drupal Community. It’s an expression of the Drupal Community’s commitment to software innovation and collaboration.

“It is a once a year time for all Classic Developers to interact with developers from around the globe in one place,” explains Mark Shropshire, Development & DevOps Manager for Classic. “It also provides a great chance for the team to recharge and discuss improvements to be made to our processes as well as recruit new developers.”
