Nilpeter Open House in Bogota a Tremendous Success

Press release from the issuing company

The day after the label summit in Medellin, the Bogota-based converter, Impresos & Acabados, opened its doors to 70 printers invited by Nilpeter. With participants from Colombia, Paraguay, Ecuador, Chile, Uruguay, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, and Argentina, it was the first time that an event of this magnitude was held in Colombia.

The attending converters witnessed an impeccable demonstration of inline production of coffee boxes and multiple-substrate coupon labels. There was great interest in these innovative ways of putting the FB-3300S to use. “Our flexo presses allow the printer to reach completely new segments”, says Jesper Joergensen, Global Sales Manager at Nilpeter. “It was exiting to sense the enthusiasm at the event. No doubt, these types of packaging and label applications could help many of the converters gain a competitive advantage”.

“Just a year after our investment in a Nilpeter FB-3300S, we won the 2013 Best of Flexography Labels Award“, says General Manager Fernando Herrera. “I believe that we have proven that it is entirely possible to make the leap from sheet-fed offset to roll-to-roll flexo. In our case, the flexo press has allowed us to expand our market reach by adding coupon labels and wrap-around carton to our capabilities. The press is constantly fully booked!”, Fernando Herrera concludes.
