This initiative brings together Precision Dynamic’s thermal bar-code wristband solutions with Standard Register’s laser wristbands, picture-capture capability and document automation expertise to provide the healthcare industry with an unparalleled selection of automated patient identification and workflow solutions, which the two companies will jointly market. “Hospitals face incredible demands, from rising costs to increased regulatory requirements and paperwork to a shortage of medical personnel,” said Peter Dorsman, Standard Register’s chief operating officer. “Efficient, secure information management processes have become more critical than ever in ensuring quality of care. PLUE combines bar-code technology and forms-automation software to streamline the process of collecting data in admissions and improve the flow of information throughout the delivery network. PDC has also designated Standard Register as its recommended provider for custom label services.
