A First of its Kind: Impression D’Or Offers New Seductive Finishes with JETvarnish 3D

Press release from the issuing company

MELBOURNE, FL – Impression D’Or, a family-owned business specializing in luxury print finishing solutions, has acquired a JETvarnish 3D spot UV coater; the only device of its kind in Canada.

Impression D’Or is one of the most well-known print finishing companies in Quebec and throughout Canada. Founded in 1988, Impression D’Or began as a small company offering stamping and embossing. They have since flourished into the successful cutting-edge finishing company they are today by adding high performance equipment, an experienced team, and the use of innovative tools that meet the needs of their customers.

Impression D'Or’s reputation is built on the quality of their products and customer service. After listening to their customers, they began looking for an innovative new service to add to their line of finishing products. It was at the GraphExpo show in Chicago that Mr. Raymond Girard, President and Owner of Impression D'Or, connected with KBR Graphics, a certified MGI dealer, and found the answer. “We were extremely impressed to see so many people crowded around the JETvarnish 3D, eager to touch the varnished sheets as they came out of the press. It was at that point we imagined all the possibilities that this new technology could offer our clients and their customers,” stated Mr. Girard.

“What really excites us with the JETvarnish 3D adventure is the desire to do something completely different. For many years we have repeatedly offered the same type of finishing solutions to our customers and now we have the opportunity to offer something like never before. Imagine not only attracting attention with tradition spot UV, but offering something so attractive to the eye that even your fingers cannot resist touching the raised effects. Finally we were able to find an innovation worthy of our name,” continued Mr. Girard.

A pioneer and industry leader in spot UV coating, the JETvarnish 3D is designed to handle digital and offset prints of sizes up to 52 x 105 cm (20" x 42") and uses solvent-free varnishes (no VOCs). The traditional flat spot UV coating or raised 3D effects of up to 100 microns in thickness can vary in height and brightly shine, with details as fine as a hair.

"Since the installation of the new equipment and during the weeks of training for this new process, we had the chance to show some of our customers the first draft of our JETvarnish 3D booklet that we unveiled at the Gutenberg 2014 Gala. The reactions were overwhelmingly positive. Market representatives are already anticipating a viral spread of this new unique product, it is a one-of-a-kind," concludes Mr. Girard.
