19 CtP orders for HighWater in March

Press release from the issuing company

April 7, 2004 -- HighWater received 19 orders for CtP systems in March. This includes 5 from UK distributor Litho Supplies and the first Python CtP to be installed in France. Peter Flynn, Sales Director, stated “This is the hard evidence that the industry gurus are correct when they say the 2/4 up commercial market is the most active for CtP. We are looking forward to a busy and profitable Drupa." Production at the factory has been increased new staff have been taken on to help meet the demand. Python has an internal drum design which guarantees the highest possible geometric and registration accuracy and perfect dot quality. It also uses a 60mW violet laser, which is equally suited to exposing silver and photopolymer plates. Violet silver halide plates can run up to 350,000 impressions and violet photopolymer plates, when baked, can provide more than 1 million impressions. HighWater offers a 3-year unconditional warranty on the violet laser system. Python has been re-badged by Esko-Graphics as the PlateDriver Compact and this has added to the record number of Pythons sold in March. “Our research showed that many smaller printers are looking for an entry into CtP, but with a system that can deliver high quality plates." comments Peter Christian Jensen, Esko-Graphics product manager for PlateDriver Compact. “By installing an easy-to-use manual system along with violet CtP technology and internal drum architecture, these printers don't have to sacrifice quality and, using violet photopolymer plates, they can economically print jobs competitive to those produced by larger printing companies."
