Colorific Lauds a Highly Successful Sign & Digital UK 2014 Show

Tuesday, May 13, 2014

Press release from the issuing company

Ink specialist Colorific says it had an extremely successful Sign & Digital UK 2014 with over 20 orders so far for the UV Lightbar technology being placed on-stand at the event.

Colorific’s pre-show campaign asking customers to bring their own files and media for a live demonstration proved to be very successful.  Nick Wintle, Managing Director of Colorific, comments, “We printed continuously throughout the 3 day event on both the UV640-PC and a 10 year old Uniform Grenadier fitted with a retro-fitted Revive Lightbar unit.  Customers were literally queuing up to see the Lightbar technology.”

Stewart Cobby, Colorific’s UK Sales Director, adds, "The UV Light technology sells itself on many levels, but it was clear from the orders placed – in an industry where quick turnaround is essential – that being able to apply the graphics directly after printing is a key advantage over Eco Solvent technology. The cost savings on the ink were also a pull for customers, but it was the overall package and high quality results that sealed these deals."

Cobby concludes, "We firmly believe Lightbar is the future of wide format printing, with key benefits including low odour from the UV Light inks, instant application, dramatically reduced requirement for lamination and up to 30% cost savings on ink. This is not simply about hardware though - it's about the ink technology which has now progressed to enhance customers’ output requirements and production turnaround.”
