ATLANTA, Ga. – The 2014 Financial and Strategic Analysis Workshop for the Pulp and Paper Industries provides key tools to analyze business operations and support decision making in the pulp and paper industries. The three-day course, July 30-August 1, 2014 at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, is designed for technical and non-technical staff wanting the skills and knowledge needed for financial analysis of processes, products, services and product development ideas.

The in-depth program covers topics including: time value of money, present value applications, capital budgeting, financial statements and cash flow valuation, new product and technology management, world fiber supply, cost of capital, debt and equity, depreciation, cost structure, comparing investment alternatives, process simulation, investment analysis, global strategy, and sensitivity and risk analysis. Managers, engineering consultants, sales and service staff, superintendents and engineers and scientists will benefit from the course. Workshop participants do not need a business background.
