Barbieri electronic is proud to showcase for the first time SpectroPad Series 2 at FESPA Digital 2014 in Munich! Series 2 is the evolution of a revolutionary color measuring and process control device.

In comparison to Series 1, the new version has several enhancements and new features. The device now has a locking mechanism in order to lock the measuring cube when not in use. Thanks to this the head is fixed when taking the device to the printer or back to the desk. A humidity and temperature sensor has also been added in order to check variations in environmental conditions, which can influence color appearance. Besides the Fogra Media wedge, the SpectroPad Series 2 now also performs calculations of and according to Idealliance which can be done in Gateway, as well as directly on the SpectroPad DOC Series 2. Also the Wi-Fi interface received several enhancements.

And last but not least SpectroPad Series 2 is the first and only device, which enters into the field of image quality evaluations. As a first, the SpectroPad Series 2 performs an evaluation for homogeneity (uniformity) on the print according to Fogra M-Score.
