FiberMark Named Exclusive Sponsor for Notable Design Competition

West Springfield, MA – FiberMark, a global leader in manufacturing innovative paperboards, fiber-based specialty covering materials and print media for world-leading brands, has been named the exclusive sponsor for Package Design Magazine’s notable design competition – the 2014 Makeover Challenge.
With over a decade of recognition tied to this high profile, industry wide competition, Package Design’s Makeover Challenge has chosen one luxury brand to have its package re-imagined by four top branding and design firm consultancies.
Kelley Quan New York, a luxury beauty brand with ethically manufactured products made in the U.S., was chosen for the 2014 brand transformation. Owner, Kelley Quan, will be working with four branding and design firms – Base Beauty Creative Agency, Envision Creative Group, Spring Design Partners and Zunda Group – in this blue-sky exercise. The packaging for Quan’s premium brush line will be the focus of the competition.

The much anticipated announcement of the Makeover Challenge participants comes at a perfect time in the year as many top marketing and design professionals prepare to visit the industry’s premiere packaging and design events, Luxepack NY and HOW Design Live in Boston.
Held annually in large, design-focused urban areas throughout the U.S., the HOW conference has become one of the most important forums for graphic designers and agency creative directors from around the world. With five conferences under one roof, the event attracts graphic designers, package designers, managers of in-house creative teams, and freelancers or small-business owners specializing in any creative role, from design to writing, photography, illustration and marketing.
Luxepack NY attracts over one hundred exhibitors displaying some of the world's most creative packaging solutions in a wide variety of categories, including fragrances-cosmetics, jewelry-watches, gourmet foods, wines and spirits, tobacco products and tableware.
