The Luminaire Awards, for 25 years, has honored those who represent the fervor of commitment and inspiration in media production, presented by IDEAlliance through its charitable arm, the Digital Enterprise Education & Research (DEER) Foundation. In recognition of their positive influence, creative excellence, and personal dedication within graphic communications, the Luminaire Awards recognizes outstanding achievements by media production leaders.

The 2014 Luminaire Award Honorees are:

  • Bonnie Blake, Clinical Assistant Professor, New York University
  • Gena Kelly, Vice President of Manufacturing, Condé Nast
  • Benjamin Palmer, Co-Founder & Chairman, The Barbarian Group
  • John Puterbaugh, EVP & Chief Digital Officer, Nellymoser, a Division of Brown Printing

“The class of 2014 continues the long tradition of the Luminaire Awards recognizing the leaders among us,” said Laura C. Adam Avrick, President, Design Distributors, Inc., Printing Industries Alliance Board Member, and event Co-Chair commented, “With the combining of the Franklin and Luminaire awards events, we solidify the legacy of both programs so we may continue to honor those professionals whose achievements and contributions move our industry forward.”

A fundraiser for students in graphic communications, proceeds from the Franklin Luminaire Awards support the next generation of media professionals, offering student scholarships through the Graphic Communications Scholarship Foundation (GCSF).
