FedEx Office Answers Demand for Mobile Printing with New App

Press release from the issuing company

Since the launch of its first mobile printing solution in 2010, FedEx Office has seen demand for mobile and cloud-centered printing options rise among its customers.  Today, with the release of the newest FedEx Office mobile printing app, the convenience of these options is expanding to the millions of iOS and Android users in the U.S.  The release also builds on the company’s existing suite of award-winning digital printing technology, including FedEx Office Print & Go, FedEx Office Print Online and more.

The FedEx Office app is optimized for the iPhone, iPad and Android platforms. With 455.6 million mobile phones sold worldwide in the third quarter of 2013—94 percent of which leverage the Android and iOS operating systems—the new print app can be easily downloaded and accessed by on-the-go professionals who make up a significant portion of the FedEx Office customer base.             Whether a project is planned, last-minute, or needed on the road, the mobile print app allows customers to access business materials, customize print and finishing options and submit the job for printing.  Simply access saved documents via Box, Dropbox, or Google Drive.

Approximately 35 percent of FedEx Office online visits come through mobile devices.  Small business owners and traveling professionals now have instant access to a full suite of mobile print services through the FedEx Office easy-to-use mobile apps for iOS and Android.  More convenient than ever, customers can print anytime, anywhere to one of the company’s more than 1,800 locations.  Customers can also track the status of their orders and request to have an order shipped directly to them.

“Every day, we work with business people to better understand their problems to ensure that we deliver the right solutions that are important to their success,” said Randy Scarborough, vice president of Retail Marketing for FedEx Office. “We’re proud to introduce our new printing apps to help mobile customers overcome the common challenge of easily and quickly printing from their phone and tablet.  FedEx Office connects people to their work like no one else can.”

For customers accustomed to using FedEx Office Print Online (POL), any job order started in POL can be finished in the mobile app.  Either way, busy professionals and small business customers can further leverage the company’s network to access convenient, simple printing solutions from their home, office or on the road.

To download the FedEx Office mobile app, simply search FedEx Office in the app store on your mobile device.  To learn more about FedEx Office digital printing solutions, go to www.fedex.com/office, or visit a nearby FedEx Office location.
