AMSP/NAPL/NAQP Annual Conference Keynoters Will Address Essential Management Issues

Press release from the issuing company

Author David Horsager speaks on the benefits of ‘The Trust Edge’ held by top business leaders; Researcher Scott Zimmer shows how to ‘bridge the generation gap’ with younger workers.

East Rutherford, N.J.Essential management issues will be the focus of keynoters David Horsager and Scott Zimmer at the 2014 AMSP/NAPL/NAQP Annual Conference, June 9-12, at the historic Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, Wis.

“Based on our 2014 conference theme, “Work on your business, not in your business,” David and Scott will set the tone for an event focused on giving printers, mailers, fulfillment service and marketing service providers information that will help them move beyond daily business firefighting and look at the big management picture,” says Ken Garner, Chief Operating Officer of AMSP/NAPL/ NAQP, the new industry association created  through the merger of the Association of Marketing Service Providers, National Association for Printing Leadership, and National Association of Quick Printers.

Author of the business bestseller, The Trust Edge: How Top Leaders Gain Faster Results, Deeper Relationships, and a Stronger Bottom Line, Horsager will speak on “The Trust Edge: What Top Leaders Have.” In his keynote he will show how, when trust is lacking, leaders lose teams, salespeople lose sales, and organizations lose reputation; and he’ll give conference attendees concrete trust-building steps they can use to improve their lives and careers.

Generational expert Scott Zimmer will use a combination of data, humor, and a uniquely personable style to help attendees learn how to communicate with and manage the younger generation of workers now entering the workforce in greater numbers. In his keynote, “Bridging the Generation Gap,” he will explain the characteristics of each generation, offer practical ways to close the gaps between them, and show how to foster a work environment where every generation contributes and all can communicate with a new breed of electronic-age customers.

“Our recent association research has shown that more than half our members who provide mailing services and nearly 90% of those providing marketing services also offer digital printing,” says Joseph P. Truncale, Ph.D., association President and Chief Executive Officer. “Similarly, more than 80% of the printers and 89% of the marketing service providers also offer mailing services.

“As a result, we’ve created the program for our 2014 Annual Conference specifically to meet the multi-faceted needs of these members and an industry where companies increasingly combine printing, mailing, and marketing services,” he continues. “Its general sessions and breakouts will cover today’s most pressing management issues in each of these important disciplines.”

Among featured sessions at the event: “Truth from the Trenches in Print-Mail-Fulfillment,” “USPS Scorecard and Quality Reports,” “Using Inbound Marketing to Grow Your Business,” “Finding and Hiring the Right People,” “Growing Young Fulfillment Operations,” “How to Use Data in Your Operations,” “Dimensional Packaging,” and “What’s the Big Deal About Big Data?” There will also be panels on fulfillment, wide-format printing, and family business succession planning, as well as the popular Vendor Forum and Annual Awards for Excellence Dinner and Reception.
