NEW DELHI - Today, at the annual conference hosted by The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), Pitney Bowes announced the Pitney Bowes Accelerator program to incubate software start-up companies in India. The program is part of NASSCOM’s 10,000 Start-ups initiative and will kick off on May 1, 2014 by accepting applications from software start-ups based in India.

Pitney Bowes will focus on start-ups that leverage software for mobile, data analytics, location-based services, and ecommerce management. Selected start-ups will have unlimited access to Pitney Bowes’ software, application programming interfaces (APIs) and data for the duration of the program. Training, technical and business guidance and mentoring will be provided to the start-ups from Pitney Bowes engineering and innovation leaders, and from software industry experts. In addition to these strategic connections, start-ups in the Pitney Bowes Accelerator program will also be networking with prospective investors.

“We look forward to working with the smartest and most creative engineers and developers at Indian start-ups with the Pitney Bowes Accelerator program,” said Manish Choudhary, Vice President, Worldwide Engineering for Pitney Bowes Inc. “Open-platform collaboration will inspire software development that speeds innovation and fosters business growth.”
