Roland DGA Strengthens Management Team with Key Personnel Changes

Irvine, Calif. – Roland DGA Corp., a leading manufacturer of advanced wide-format digital printing equipment, as well as state-of-the-art dental, engraving and 3D modeling products, has strengthened its management team with a number of key personnel changes in several departments. 

According to Roland DGA President Rick Scrimger, these important promotions, new hires and appointments reflect the company’s healthy overall growth and expansion into new, lucrative markets. “Roland’s success within the existing markets we serve has allowed us to continuously innovate, add new product offerings and attract new customers, said Scrimger. “ All of this growth has brought about opportunities to promote from within, create new positions and hire highly qualified individuals to handle our larger customer base and increased demand.  Congratulations to our valued employees taking on new, expanded company roles, and to the skilled individuals just coming aboard.”

Promotions

Mark O’Connor, Business Development Manager – Digital Signage

Mark O’Conner has been promoted to the newly created position of Business Development Manager – Digital Signage.  Prior to assuming his new position, O’Conner served for more than five years as Corporate Events Manager for Roland DGA. In that role, he helped revolutionize Roland DGA’s trade show and special event planning and exhibiting methods.  Transitioning to sales, O’Connor will play an instrumental role in the launch of Roland’s new line of digital signage equipment aimed at sign shops and other Roland print customers.

Greg Collin, Product Manager – Digital Signage 

Greg Collin has assumed the newly created position of Product Manager – Digital Signage at Roland DGA.  Collin joined Roland in October 2012 as a Service Technician for Rotary Products, quickly gaining expertise in the operation, servicing and maintenance of Roland rotary devices.  In his new capacity, he will be managing Roland’s new Digital Signage product program, working closely with the company’s new Business Development Manager for that market segment. 

Dana Curtis, Roland Care Manager

Dana Curtis has been promoted to the position of Roland Care Manager.  Prior to assuming this position, Curtis served as Roland DGA’s product manager for inkjet devices and cutters.  His new responsibilities include overseeing Roland’s dedicated staff of technical support representatives and the development of new customer service tools and resources. Prior to assuming this position, Curtis served in a variety of positions at Roland DGA, most recently as product manager for inkjet devices and cutters.  He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a master’s degree in international business from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management. 

Dan Wilson, Creative Director

Previously Associate Creative Director at Roland DGA, Dan Wilson has been promoted to the Creative Director position.  Wilson succeeds Roland’s long-time Creative Director, Patrick Kersey, who has elected to retire from his full-time position but remain with the team in a part-time capacity as Senior Copy Writer.  In his new position, Wilson will be responsible for developing and executing the creative strategy for Roland DGA’s advertising, public relations, web, video and social media efforts targeted toward dealer and end-user audiences across multiple industries.

New Hires and Appointments

Jane Napolitano, Customer Service Supervisor

Jane Napolitano joins Roland DGA as Customer Service Supervisor, after serving for the last six years as Marketing Manager for Paradigm Imaging Group, and prior to that as Customer Service and Marketing Manager at Graphtec America.  Her new responsibilities include ensuring overall efficiency and effectiveness within the department, implementing new processes to ensure optimum customer service, and overseeing Roland’s Level 1 and Level 2 Customer Service Representatives. 

Daryl Chaffins, Business Development Manager, UV East

Digital printing industry veteran Daryl Chaffins has joined Roland DGA Corp. as the company’s Business Development Manager – UV East.  Chaffins brings with him nearly seven years of experience within the field, including sales-related positions with Hewlett Packard and MacDermid ColorSpan.  Working with Roland DGA’s sales team, dealers and industry partners, he will be responsible for all Roland UV product sales throughout the Eastern U.S. and Canada.  Chaffins will operate out of his home office in Atlanta, Ga.

Jeff DiToro, Senior Global Software Product Manager

Jeff DiToro has been appointed to the newly created position of Senior Global Software Manager.  He joins Roland DGA after serving with several companies within the wide-format digital printing industry, including 3M and SkinIt.  In his new position, DiToro will manage Roland’s entire software line.  He will also be responsible for collecting feedback worldwide, directing future software development efforts at Roland DGA’s parent company, Roland DG, and working with outside partners who produce software that drives Roland’s devices.   

Lily Hunter, Product Manager – Textiles and Consumables

Lily Hunter has joined Roland DGA as the company’s Product Manager – Textiles and Consumables.  Hunter brings with her extensive industry experience and knowledge, having held various sales support and product management positions with Arlon Graphics over the past 14 years.  In her new role, she will be responsible for managing Roland’s dye sublimation portfolio, as well as the company’s media and ink product lines.

Eric Iverson, Northwest Region Service Account Manager

Iverson joins Roland DGA as the company’s  Northwest Region Service Account Manager.  His responsibilities include working with Roland’s regional sales team to help develop accounts by fully satisfying their service-related needs.  Iverson graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stout in 2004 with a degree in Technical Communications, and since then has worked for two Swiss companies within the wide-format screen printing industry.

Garret Luppino, Midwest Region Service Account Manager

Garret Luppino has been hired as Roland DGA’s Midwest Region Service Account Manager.  A sign industry veteran with more than eight years of related experience under his belt, Luppino will be working closely with the Roland DGA Midwest sales team to handle the service needs of accounts within that region. He will be operating out of his home office based in Chicago.
