50 Billion Pages Printed on HP Inkjet Web Presses

Press release from the issuing company

HP Inkjet Web Presses have now printed a cumulative total of more than 50 billion pages in only five years since the first press was installed, with more than 16 percent of those pages printed in just a three month time period (November 2013 to January 2014). That amounts to more than 8.6 million miles of paper¹ printed on HP Inkjet Web Presses in the past five years, which is enough pages to:

  • Reach to the moon 38 times
  • Provide every person in the world with 7 pages of paper
  • Lay from one end of the Great Wall of China to the other 659 times
  • Wrap around the world 349 times

The explosive growth in pages is indicative of the high quality and production capabilities that HP Inkjet Web Presses provide to print providers. As print markets adapt and change to accommodate shorter runs and variable data, HP Inkjet Web Presses offer businesses the ability to meet evolving customer needs at high production speeds. The presses can operate at speeds up to 800 ft/min, while HP pigment inks and the HP bonding agent help ensure vivid print quality on a wide range of media.

HP looks forward to future print milestones and the next 50 billion pages, continuing to innovate and create more opportunities for print providers to transform their businesses.
