Press release from the issuing company

Aleyant web-to-print and design tools offer Asian-Pacific graphic arts businesses a solution they can use to jump-start their own growth

Wheaton, Illinois. Aleyant Systems, an innovative leader in providing robust web-to-print software solutions to the graphic communications industry at value-driven prices, today announced that industry veteran Jeff Protheroe has joined the company as Vice President of Sales for the Asia-Pacific region, Middle East, and Africa. In addition to his long tenure with high-profile industry players including Agfa and Kodak, Protheroe has worked and lived in the Asia-Pacific region for 14 years and is well-acquainted with key players as well as market needs and opportunities.

“We are pleased to welcome Jeff to our team,” said Greg Salzman, President of Aleyant Systems. “While we already have a number of installs in the Asia-Pacific region, we believe that Jeff will be able to significantly accelerate our growth there. In the first eight weeks in the job, he has already signed several local channels and resellers in a number of different geographies across the region, with more in the pipeline for the coming weeks.”

Protheroe has spent his entire working career in the graphics industry and around software solutions for every sub-segment, initially within the development environment and then progressing through to head sales and marketing engagement across multiple market segments and regions globally. He has held senior management roles at Crosfield, Agfa, KPG and Kodak, among others, and has a long history of demonstrated performance, including delivering the highest revenue and margin growth across software businesses world-wide from the Asian region.

“There is a huge gap between what the Asian-Pacific market requires and the capabilities of most existing web-to-print software,” Protheroe explains. “Both Pressero and eDocBuilder are complete and unique solutions that are easily adapted to local cultures and the differences in the Asian-Pacific approach to business, filling that gap. I am excited about the opportunity to bring these outstanding solutions and renowned Aleyant support to even more companies in the region. Their adoption of these solutions will obviously be a growth opportunity for Aleyant; but more importantly, it will offer Asian-Pacific graphic arts businesses a solution they can use to jump-start their own growth.”

Pressero Web-to-Print

Pressero from Aleyant Systems is an affordable and easy-to-use cloud-based B2B and B2C online storefront solution that can quickly and easily be customized to individual client needs. Because it is delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS), it has a pay-as-you-go model that involves limited up-front costs. Pressero includes eDocBuilder, a web-based variable data publishing system built specifically to easily integrate into Aleyant or third-party Web-to-Print or MIS solutions. It features advanced typography control, imposition, scripting support, PDF workflows, rapid template creation, Excel merge capabilities and more. Aleyant's Automated Workflow Integrator (AWI) makes online operations as streamlined and affordable as possible, and AWI is a critical enabler for achieving this goal. Examples of applications for AWI's rules-based approach include automating processes for file renaming for workflows that have strict file naming conventions, automatically unzipping zipped files, or sending files and metadata directly to a RIP for processing, eliminating multiple steps in the workflow.
