Nexpress Unveils Three Color Printing Solutions

Press release from the issuing company

HEIDELBERG, Germany — Three new digital-color-printing solutions from NexPress Solutions LLC are designed to give print businesses greater productivity and more efficient end-to-end workflow for a range of digital applications, the company announced today. The NexPress Solution Series features a more powerful front end, optional fifth imaging units, new software applications for Web-to-print and VDP, enhancements to existing software, and new professional consulting services and business support. Print providers can choose from three pre-bundled solutions — all including the NexPress 2100 digital production color press — best suited to their business needs: - The NexPress Essential Solution integrates with the internal workflow of a print business or in-plant operation. It is ideal for print providers doing short-run and quick-turnaround jobs. - The NexPress Power Solution adds collaborative workflow capabilities to help printers interact more efficiently with external customers and users. It includes online ordering, basic Web-to-print applications and consulting services for the entire operation — from press operators to CEOs. - The NexPress Optima Solution provides a fully automated workflow customized to specific application areas, such as high-volume Web-to-print and complex VDP applications, and offers customized, business opportunity assessments and on-site integration support. The new solutions will be demonstrated at Drupa, and available worldwide within 90 days of the show. They include the award-winning and enhanced NexPress 2100 digital production color press with optional fifth imaging station and are powered by a new, third-generation NexStation III front end. A range of other NexTreme workflow components for Web-to-print and VDP solutions are also available, plus NexPert FastStart consulting programs and business development kits. These solutions are designed to deliver 750,000 to more than a million impressions per month. (See separate releases on the software and fifth imaging unit.) According to NexPress Solutions LLC President and CEO Venkat Purushotham, the new solutions give print providers much more than a digital press — they provide powerful tools to help them be successful in digital printing. “We are working to help print providers take full advantage of digital printing and generate higher volumes,” Purushotham said. “Our new solutions incorporate hardware, software and professional consulting services to set new standards for efficient digital workflow. They help print providers operate more efficiently and succeed more quickly with digital printing.” The Essentials of Digital Printing The NexPress Essential Solution gives small- and medium-sized commercial printers ready-to-use tools to produce short runs and quick turnaround of high-quality digital color printed pieces. This bundled solution is composed of the NexPress 2100 press, NexStation III EE front end and NexPert business development kit. More Power, Profit from Higher-Value Applications Ideal for digital trade services, in-plant printers and small- and medium-sized print businesses that have more sophisticated application needs, the NexPress Power Solution enables end-to-end production of high-value applications, including NexTreme Web-to-print online ordering and variable data printing. This bundle solution includes the NexPress 2100 press, NexStation III SE front end; NexTreme Exchange software (ASP) for Web-to-print job submissions, NexTreme DL-100 for VDP applications, the NexPert business development kit, and NexPert FastStart “Concepts in Digital Print” and “Production Optimization” programs. Print businesses also have the option of adding the fifth imaging unit. Optimal Productivity in a Turnkey Package Designed to drive digital print volume by opening up new business opportunities, the NexPress Optima Solution includes all the hardware, software and professional consulting tools necessary to create a fully automated workflow for higher-volume applications, such as recurring Web-to-print jobs. It is aimed at printers demanding higher average monthly print volume of mixed and complex jobs. This bundle solution can be configured to meet a print business’ specific needs. It includes the NexPress 2100 press, the NexStation III XE front end, NexTreme Exchange and NexTreme Media Producer software for Web-to-print applications, NexTreme OneFlow+ workflow solution, NexTreme DL-100 and NexTreme DL-1000 software for VDP applications, the NexPert business development kit and four NexPert FastStart consulting programs.
