BR Printers to Become the First Printer on the West Coast with the Ability to Print Books in Four-Color Inkjet

Press release from the issuing company

San Jose, CA. – BR Printers is set to install an HP T230 Color Inkjet Web Press and HP Indigo 7600 Digital press; effectively making them the only printer on the West Coast with the ability to print books in four-color inkjet.

In an effort to increase their digital print options and vastly improve their print capacity, BR Printers will install their newly acquired HP T230 Color Inkjet Web press and HP Indigo 7600 Digital Press, by June 1st 2014.

The HP T230 inkjet prints up to 400 feet (122m) per minute color and mono, and with 1,200 nozzles per inch native resolution it delivers industry-leading digital print quality. The HP T230 press supports a broad range of media compatibility, uncoated offset stock, ground wood, newsprint and printable media. Supported printable media weights range from 60 gsm. up to 215 gsm.

The HP Indigo 7600 Digital Press is the fastest 13x19 inch format digital sheet fed press in the market. With the ability to print 120 four-color pages per minute (PPM) or 160 color PPM with Enhanced Productivity Mode (EPM), the HP Indigo can print over 4 million color pages per month with some of the highest print quality in the market.

“This is one of the most exciting days in the history of BR Printers,” said Adam DeMaestri, President of BR Printers. “With the installation of the HP T230 press, we will be the only book printer west of the Rockies with the ability to print books in four color inkjet. This is going to give our clients a distinct competitive advantage in terms of time to market, reduced shipping rates, and lower costs on high quality digitally printed books.”

Printing is a constantly changing industry, the demand for cost effective, fast turnaround, and high quality prints has never been higher. That is why Print-on-demand publishersare shifting to inkjet; in the current digital climate, printers need to be as flexible as possible and BR’s new technology gives them the unique ability to efficiently print both small and large volume runs.

Second on the West Coast? Perhaps... but certainly not the first. Jim Lucanish and the team at O'Neil Data have been printing with HP inkjet presses in Los Angeles since 2008.
