Hodgins Engraving Hosts Open House For Graphic Designers

Press release from the issuing company

(Batavia, NY) -- Hodgins Engraving Co. of Batavia, New York recently hosted an open house for the design community of Western New York. Designers were invited to view an extensive display of award winning products featuring genuine engraving, thermography, foil stamping, embossing, offset and letterpress. A brief information session was followed by a guided plant tour, allowing designers to interact with die makers and press operators and see first hand how specialty printing processes are produced and how to best utilize them in design. Bob Hodgins, president of Hodgins Engraving Co. said, "Based on our experience, the unique processes that we use to produce high quality image materials are not thoroughly understood by many in the design community. We wanted to open our plant to share the benefits of printing enhancement. Without exception, the attendees went away with a new excitement about how to design a project that has the “wow” factor built in." Hodgins Engraving Company is a member of the Worldwide Printing Thermographers Association, the industry’s official trade association whose mission is to promote and advance the art of thermography. Hodgins currently serves on the board of the association. The company website, www.hodginsengraving.com, highlights the products they produce for over 3,500 distributors/brokers nationwide.
