November 24th, 2003 – The Houston Chronicle has announced that it will be hosting the 36th Metro User’s Group Conference, to be held at the Hilton Americas-Houston from Saturday, February 28 through Wednesday, March 3, 2004. Following the unqualified success of last year’s Conference in New Orleans, the Goss Metro User’s Group urges members to register for the event as early as possible. With a program to include cost-saving and revenue enhancing ideas, Goss International technology updates, breakout sessions and a tour of the Houston Chronicle plant, as well as the annual Metro User’s Golf Tournament, the 36 Conference promises to be the essential information gathering and networking opportunity of 2004. Scheduled guest speakers are: Anthony Cheng of Singapore Press Holdings and Alan Pidcock from The Birmingham News, speaking on ‘Waste, Quality and Colorliner Cold Start-up’ and ‘Newsprint Waste Savings’, respectively.
