Screen USA’s New Ink Cost Simulator Enables Accurate Print Pricing

Press release from the issuing company

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. — Screen USA has launched a new automated tool that aids printing companies in estimating jobs to be run on their Screen high-speed inkjet presses. The Ink Cost Simulator can accurately project ink consumption without tying up presstime and without guesswork, making the estimator’s task simpler and results more consistent.

Screen developed the software-driven pricing tool for printing companies that operate the Truepress Jet L350UV, Truepress JetSX, Truepress Jet520 and Truepress Jet520ZZ inkjet presses. This versatile program can benefit users by helping preserve their profit margins and eliminate risk. It is also very useful for predictive management of ink inventories.

Working from customer-supplied files, the Ink Cost Simulator simulates ink consumption based on the number of document pages, run length and resolution. It is compatible with most ICC color profiles, color management and printing conditions, and calculates ink costs per piece or per impression, making it a valuable instrument for estimators to determine overall print costs and the final pricing of inkjet jobs.

The turnkey, easy-to-use system is available in a version for each of the identified Screen inkjet machines and includes all software, hardware and one year of telephone support.
