Love Your Melon Foundation embarks on a 16-stop tour to take its message nationwide

ST. PAUL, Minn. –  3M Commercial Graphics, Vomela and UASG installers have teamed up to help a St. Paul, Minn., charity – Love Your Melon – increase its national visibility by creating a mobile billboard on its tour bus.

Recognizing the advantage mobile advertising can give an organization, 3M Commercial Graphics was happy to sponsor the Love Your Melon Foundation and its bus tour, covering 16 stops across the eastern United States. With a goal to help create brand recognition during its tour, 3M donated the films and technical service expertise to wrap the foundation’s bus.

Love Your Melon’s bus was wrapped with 3M™ Envision™ Print Wrap Film 480Cv3, 3M™ Envision™ Gloss Wrap Overlaminate 8548G, 3M™ Scotchcal™ Perforated Window Graphic Film IJ8171 and 3M™ Scotchcal™ Optically Clear Overlaminate 8914 to help make a visually striking mobile billboard. Vomela incorporated Love Your Melon’s existing navy color scheme and logo to capitalize on the foundation’s existing brand recognition.

“A great visual presence makes a big difference for an organization like Love Your Melon,” said Dave Deiss, Technical Service Manager, 3M. “We were happy to help increase the foundation’s brand recognition so it could make a splash during its tour.”

“Love Your Melon already has a great brand, so we worked to make it as dynamic and attention-grabbing as possible on the bus,” said Cheryl Frenette, Vomela. “We’re excited about the results and wish them the best on their tour.”

Love Your Melon, founded by students Zachary Quinn and Brian Keller from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., has grown from a class project to a 501 (C)(3) non-profit. Its mission is to bring smiles to the faces of children undergoing treatment for cancer. Through a Buy One, Give One hat program, Quinn and Keller have donated more than 5,000 hats to pediatric hospitals. They will donate another 2,500 throughout the Foundation’s 16-stop tour.
