Colordyne announces new Industrial Class products and software

Press release from the issuing company

BROOKFIELD, WI - January 24, 2014 - Consistent with Colordyne Technologies' (CDT) efforts of offering the industry's best end-to-end color printing solution featuring its Industrial Class products, CDT is pleased to announce several new products and software upgrades.

Colordyne Label Designer Pro

CDT will now provide a copy of the Colordyne Label Designer Pro with each registered Industrial Class Printer Package at no additional cost. The Industrial Class printers include the CDT 1600-C Continuous Roll Digital Color Printer and the CDT 1600-S Sheet Fed Digital Color Printer. The purpose of providing the Label Designer Pro is to ensure that end users have an efficient and simple way to incorporate variable data into any color enhanced barcode product or shipping label. It is CDT's hope that the Colordyne Label Designer Pro will greatly simplify the use and support of its product today and in the future.

Wasatch SoftRIP Update

Up until now, an end user who needed to manage specific colors on his labels had to sacrifice simplicity and ease-of-use. The next generation of SoftRIP by Wasatch offers seamless integration with the Colordyne Label Designer Pro when color management is crucial. The update now requires the user to only navigate Label Designer Pro while the SoftRIP operates as a background task. This change in direction offers end users the ability to serve up thousands of labels while SoftRIP overlays its color management controls.

New Print Monitor Application

Finally, management of the printer is equally as important as the actualprinting of labels. CDT is pleased to offer a new print monitor application for improved management of its Industrial Class printers. This newapplication provides considerably more information to the user while also replacing the legacy Tool Box. Functions include drop counts, job costing, system status, and printer maintenance. This new print monitor application will be shipped with every Industrial Class Printer Package at no additional cost.

Updated Windows Driver

In the second quarter of 2014, CDT will conclude its development of the companion Windows driver for its Industrial Class product line. The advantage of the second generation driver will be improved communication between the Label Designer Pro, making the design and production tasks trouble-free for end users. Historically, tasks and changes were accomplished most successfully when done in series. Moving forward, end users will look at the Label Designer Pro as the dashboard for management of all printing functions.

These recent additions and updates to CDT's offerings are being put into place in the hopes of making label designing and printing fast, efficient simple and seamless for end users of the CDT end-to-end solution.
