Ennis Ranks 161st on Forbes List

Press release from the issuing company

11/20/03 -- Ennis is pleased to announce that it is listed among the "200 Best Small Companies" in Forbes magazine’s October 27, 2003 issue. Ennis ranked 161st on this year’s highly reputable list, moving up eight places from the previous year. The list is comprised of publicly traded companies with $5 million to $600 million in sales over the last 12 months. All companies appearing on this list must meet Forbes magazine’s stringent criterion, which requires them to be profitable, earning a minimum of 5% net margin over the past 12 months and have a five-year average return on equity of 5% or greater. This was Ennis’ second year in a row to be acknowledged as one of the top 200 small businesses in the country. Ennis still remains the only wholesale printer to be recognized by Forbes magazine. "With each year that passes, Ennis continues to grow in size and strength within the industry. This would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of every Ennis employee and distributor. The success of our business and the reception of this acknowledgement is a direct reflection of them," commented Keith Walters, President, Chairman and CEO of Ennis.
