Easton/Palmer Township PA - Tower Products, Inc., the leading manufacturer of environmentally sensitive pressroom chemistry for the graphic arts industry, celebrates its 50^th year in business in 2014.

The company was founded in 1964, by Richard A. Principato and Grace M. Principato as Tower Industrial and Chemical Supply from their home in Easton.  Originally, the company provided janitorial chemicals and cleaning supplies to businesses in the Easton/Phillipsburg area, but quickly grew to also sell industrial chemical products to a growing industrial base from a small location in Alpha NJ.

In the late 1960’s, the company moved to a larger facility in Easton and was renamed Tower Chemical Corporation.  A quick growth spurt caused the company to relocate again in 1972 to its current location in Palmer Township where the company blended water-based cleaners, rust preventatives, cleaning compounds and its original line of products for the graphic arts industry.

In 1986, Tower repositioned its marketing strategy and developed a line of premium ink cleaners for the offset printing market and began to sell those products through a selective distribution channel on a national basis.  The company was renamed yet again in the late 1980’s to Tower Products Inc., to reflect its new and advanced line of cleaning products for the graphic arts industry, and its mission to sell those products through a growing graphic arts dealer network across the USA.   A new line of advanced surface chemical technologies was introduced in 1999, requiring an expansion of the original facility to accommodate the sales growth.

Today, Tower pressroom chemical products are used by the most recognizable names in the printing business, and sold through some of the largest graphic arts distribution companies in the world. The increased sales to international customers, as well as in the USA, has provided exceptional growth at Tower Products over the last seven years. The business is now owned and operated by Richard J. Principato, the son of the founder.
