The Standard Group Hires Successful Print Industry Executive for National Sales Role

Press release from the issuing company

Steve Urry joined company as Executive VP of Sales in January 2014

Reading, PA and Lancaster, PA - Steve Urry, a seasoned print industry executive with an extensive background in large format POP print and display, was recently hired to handle national sales for The Standard Group, Pennsylvania’s premier print and integrated communications company.

“I’m delighted to join The Standard Group,” said Steve Urry. He continued, “The company is an award-winning print and mail powerhouse known for innovation. This is a progressive company that will evolve with the communication landscape and has a reputation for building solutions that benefit the modern marketers looking to streamline their process, integrate their CRM and automate their marketing. I’m excited about offering these solutions and very optimistic about the future of The Standard Group.”

Urry, who started with the company in January 2014, has broad experience in sales, account management, customer service, contract negotiations, team building and operations. As the former president of a Pennsylvania-based printing company, he was instrumental for turning the company to profitability and landing contracts with national accounts, including Dicks Sporting Goods, American Eagle and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Urry has 20-plus years of success transforming sales teams and organizations into highly efficient entities, through accountability, culture and a willingness to lead by example. His experience with personalized and variable communication as well as integrating print with digital, mobile and social channels will make him a valuable resource for our corporate partners. But it is Urry’s proven knowledge and expertise in collateral management, web-to-print and print-on-demand solutions that will be most beneficial to our customers.

“We are pleased to have Steve at The Standard Group. His ability to work across divisions, build culture and create a fun, efficient and effective environment will definitely benefit our team,” said Scott Vaughn, The Standard Group’s CEO. “Our clients will also appreciate his belief that there is a solution for every problem, and he is not afraid to leverage resources to improve service and to deliver value.”
