Flint Group Announces the PremoCorr Series of Packaging Inks

Wednesday, January 15, 2014

Press release from the issuing company

Flint Group is pleased to announce the PremoCorr™ ink series to the Packaging Inks portfolio. The introduction of these low maintenance corrugated inks truly exhibits Flint Group’s leadership in the Packaging Inks market.

The PremoCorr™ series of inks are low maintenance inks for all three levels of the post print corrugated market. How is that possible? The PremoCorr™ series is based on building block resin technology for all three corrugated levels that use modifying blocks to obtain desired characteristics. Building Block Technology reduces supply chain complexity, improves inventory control, and provides a thorough understanding of the chemistry for every formulation.

Unlike traditional corrugated inks, the PremoCorr™ series of inks eliminates the need for the addition of amines to maintain viscosity. The result is a maintenance free ink with a stable viscosity over a wide pH range. The PremoCorr™ series of inks provides exceptional resolubility, print quality, and rub resistance, resulting in extended use of the package/container while delivering improved visual appeal.

According to Gayle Wirthwine, Product Development Specialist, “The viscosity stable, low maintenance benefit of PremoCorr™ is the result of a scientific statistical approach to the design of PremoCorr™ and extensive market research. These inks are a result of many focused man hours – we had to find just the right ingredients to create a formulation that would deliver the best print results and provide an ease of use that is unmatched in the industry.

Recent press trials and commercial runs of PremoCorr™ confirm the formulating concepts. Senior Account Executive, Joshua Black, has been very active in promoting PremoCorr™ and concludes, “The improved print quality, reduced colour variation, and elimination of the need to adjust inks with amine has resulted in many happy customers and new sales opportunities.”

PremoCorr™ inks can be prepared to match accepted colour standards as a blended ink or as part of a dispenser package for corrugated printers.
