Esko and Amtech announce that Imaginera supports ArtiosCAD 12.1

Press release from the issuing company

Integration delivers much more accurate product information and costing for the Imaginera ERP system

Miamisburg, OH – Esko and Amtech, leaders in their respective CAD and EPR packaging industry fields announce that Amtech Imaginera ERP supports the most recent edition of ArtiosCAD, version 12.1. Within the past year, Esko and Amtech Software had formed a Packaging Alliance partnership aimed at working closely to develop products that integrate the two platforms on multiple levels. The integration of the two products allows corrugated packaging companies to collect structural design information, thus automating the creation of estimates for dies, materials, and other costs in Imaginera, based on accurate CAD data. It also helps in the automatic creation of shop cards for the production lines.

Imaginera is an integrated ERP suite of products that enhance all aspects of a business. The Amtech software is comprised of a powerful set of modules that address key components in a business’s operations processes and procedures. Amtech provides all the tools necessary for making smart business decisions that positively impact a company’s bottom line. The wide, flexible range of modules includes financial applications, plant management, customer service, planning, and EDI integration.

ArtiosCAD is the world’s most popular structural design software for packaging design. With dedicated tools specifically designed for packaging professionals for structural design, product development, virtual prototyping and manufacturing, ArtiosCAD increases productivity throughout a company.

Imaginera is able to collect real-time structural design information directly from the ArtiosCAD database. It can import the baseline style grade, width and length, 3D dimension, design name and drawings. This information is vital for costing and pricing – and workflow solutions while eliminating the need to re-enter data into both systems.

If a converter already has Esko WebCenter, information from that system can be integrated into Amtech’s MobileForce Customer Care Portal – a unique Web-based collaboration tool that provides customers access to real time job order and production status. It lets them view native CAD drawings, orders and item information, request quotes, place orders, view delivery and invoice documents, and directly communicate with the printer.

The two companies are also expanding integration to ArtiosCAD Enterprise. This will enable new customers to be pushed into the business and workflow systems, and allow them to see project status. Utilizing Amtech’s full suite of products including the Core Imaginera ERP, MobileForce Sales applications and Customer Care Portal, along with Esko’s Enterprise and WebCenter, the corrugated industry will be able to benefit from a highly integrated solution that will allow for automation and collaboration across sales, design, customer service and end customers.

“Amtech strives to bring our customers valuable products that keep their business moving forward. By partnering with strong industry leading companies like Esko, we continue to add value and ROI to our customer’s original investment in the Amtech system,” says Cosmo DeNicola, Amtech President. “The integration of ArtiosCAD data is an excellent way to work with more complete, accurate costing information.”

“We have had many customers asking us if ArtiosCAD can connect to Imaginera,” comments Richard Deroo, Esko product manager. “It helps them reduce the waste in their business processes while also eliminating possible errors by eliminating touch points in data management. We’re pleased that our partnership with Amtech is successfully moving forward.”
