ATLANTA, Ga. - Ink manufacturers and other related industries that need to develop Safety Data Sheets (SDS) that meet government HazCom requirements should plan on attending an upcoming webinar sponsored by the National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers (NAPIM). The two-part on-line course will be held Jan. 14^th and February 11, 2014 and will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills needed to efficiently create SDS that meet OSHA 2012 requirements and also learn to evaluate and utilize raw material supplier SDS.

“Safety Data Sheets are an important element of a safe and healthy work environment for our members and their employees and provide workers, customers and first responders with key information for the safe handling, storing and disposing of a wide range of materials,” notes George Fuchs, Director of Regulatory Affairs and Technology, NAPIM. “The webinar will provide a wide range of skills, knowledge and procedures that will help attendees learn how to efficiently prepare their own SDS sheets that meet OSHA requirements.”

The course will be presented by Denise A. Deeds, co-founder-Senior Consultant, Industrial Health and Safety Consultants, Inc. The webinar will provide ink manufacturers and related mixture producers with an understanding of the requirements, resources, skills and methods for developing OSHA/GHS compliant Safety Data Sheets utilizing online resources, raw material supplier information and OSHA guidance.
