Press release from the issuing company

PODi, the Digital Printing Initiative, announced today that locr GmbH of Braunschweig, Germany, has joined the worldwide organisation as a member. By joining PODi, locr unites with other global industry vendor members who are focused on enhancing digital printing applications with advanced software solutions and services.

locr is a full service provider of personalised maps and geodata. Using geodata from several leading providers and highly scalable server solutions, locr generates unique, high quality maps for direct marketing and other applications.

Dave Erlandson, General Manager of PODi, says, “locr’s personalised maps provide a unique solution which PODi members and digital printers everywhere can use to increase the effectiveness of marketing campaigns for their clients”.

locr maps have already proven to be especially effective in lead generation, sales collateral and loyalty marketing applications for the retail, travel and education sectors. Personalised maps created by locr feature in two PODi case studies - Telekom Shop in Germany and Partou childcare centres in the Netherlands.

“Joining PODi is another milestone reached in our journey to be the global leader in geodata and mapping applications for digital printing”, said Rolf Richter, CEO of locr GmbH. “Through our successful participation in 2013 PODi AppForums in both the USA and Europe, locr has advanced partnerships with industry leaders, increased our presence in new regions, and generated new business opportunities. locr looks forward to a long-term and valuable partnership with PODi”.

Dave Erlandson added, “PODi is delighted to have a leading edge technology solution from Europe join the ranks of world-class industry vendors that support PODi’s mission to drive demand for marketing applications and help members to build successful digital print businesses”.
