Drytac Expands Printable Window Media Line

Press release from the issuing company

Drytac has added ViziPrint® Impress, an optically clear, printable polyester window film with proprietary suction technology, to its line of print media for glass windows and doors. Formally launched at the 2013 SGIA Expo held this October in Orlando, Fl., the product has been touted as a revolutionary new solution for the window graphics market.

According to Nate Goodman, product manager for Drytac, ViziPrint® Impress is specifically designed for trouble-free, dry installation of graphics on glass surfaces. Its proprietary suction technology leaves no residue behind, eliminates bubbling and is unaffected by moisture, making it ideal for window stickers, decals, advertising, signage, and décor. ViziPrint® Impress is especially appealing to retailers because it can be easily installed by both professional installers and store employees, applied where traditional adhesive products are not recommended, and simplifies change out of graphics.

“What sets ViziPrint® Impress apart from other printable window graphic films is that it is adhesive-free and is not a vinyl-based static cling,” states Goodman. “Since it uses suction, there is no chance of adhesive residue upon removal. Not only can it be used on glass, it can be safely used on electronic equipment, such as tablet displays and TV screens; refrigerators and glass display cases; mirrors; and backlit displays.”

ViziPrint® Impress also boasts high dimensional stability, scratch resistance, excellent print quality, and easy application and removal. The ultra clear PET film is available in three versions:

·         4 mil clear UV for UV curable inks

·         5 mil clear SEL for solvent, eco solvent, latex, and UV curable inks

·         5 mil white SEL for solvent, eco solvent, latex, and UV curable inks

This sounds like a good product as it is water free meaning peoples valuables won't be damaged. However, does it really stick as well as a self-adhesive film ?
