NEW YORK, Nov. 19 -- Bowne Business Solutions (BBS) has appointed Joe McSpadden President and Chief Operating Officer of BBS. McSpadden replaces David J. Shea, who was named Senior Vice President and CEO of Bowne Business Solutions and Bowne Enterprise Solutions on Monday. He will assume his new responsibilities immediately and will report to Shea. BBS is a core business unit of Bowne & Co., Inc., a global leader in delivering high-value document management solutions. "Joe is a key leader within the BBS executive management team, and I am extremely confident in his abilities and vision to execute the business strategy that has been developed for 2004," said Shea. "His experience at BBS has prepared him for this critical role in driving revenue growth within our existing clients, the penetration of new markets, and the growth of our litigation services business." McSpadden joined Bowne Business Solutions in March 2000 as Senior Vice President of Operations. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for BBS in January 2001, and was responsible for all national client operations within the six regions that comprise Bowne Business Solutions in the U.S. He formerly served as Vice President, Client Operations at Xerox Business Services after more than 17 years of operations and sales management experience with the company.
