Barbieri electronic & Bodoni Systems Announce Joint Co-Operation

Press release from the issuing company

pressSIGN software drives all Barbieri spectrophotometers

Large format printers are increasingly required by their customers to match specific colour standards and improve print quality. The combination of Barbieri’s SpectroPad and Bodoni’s pressSIGN software makes consistently accurate colour control fast and easy. Simply measure a set of target patches with the SpectroPad, and pressSIGN will show the user how to adjust the tonal curve and, if able, the density of the ink.

The launch of pressSIGN 5.3 on 1st November features the addition of Barbieri’s SpectroPad to the list of supported spectrophotometers in pressSIGN. The combination of Barbieri’s SpectroPad and pressSIGN software offers users the ability to measure in M1, M0 and M2 and quickly and easily match whatever print standard required.

The SpectroPad and pressSIGN combination provides two options for adjusting the tonal curve. Users can choose a TVI target if they want to match an ISO standard like 12647-2 or they can select 4CX technology for accurate grey balance. In the large format print market where substrates are significantly different from standards like ISO 12647 the Barbieri SpectroPad gives highly accurate measurements from which pressSIGN can produce the tonal adjustments to give users the best possible visual result.

BARBIERI electronic are internationally recognized as the foremost suppliers of spectrophotometers for the large format printing market, making a range of devices that provide extremely accurate measurement tools for non-standard print surfaces typically found in large format printing environments.

Bodoni Systems’ pressSIGN software is the leading print standardization solution sold and supported internationally by a network of dealers and colour management consultants.
