MEI Portico Version 2.6 Offers New Storefront Capabilities for Adobe DPS Apps

Press release from the issuing company

Portico 2.6 features turnkey functionality and integrates with platforms to manage and automate storefront content

Jenkintown, PA - ? MEI Portico? version 2.6 has been released today as an update to Managing Editor Inc.'s customizable storefront solution for digital publishers. Portico 2.6 delivers new automations for content management, as well as offers scheduling of content and offers interactive templates for creating customizable storefronts, made exclusively for apps built with the Adobe® Digital Publishing Suite? Enterprise Edition.

App users can now enjoy more comprehensive search results thanks to Portico's streamlined content import automation. By leveraging XML output capabilities from publishing platforms like vjoon K4?, entire DPS folios and other app content like videos can be imported into Portico as search metadata. For publishers with a bulk of content or limited resources, this feature makes it easy to automatically populate the Portico search index and eliminates the need for manual input.

Using Portico's browser-based admin module, app administrators can schedule the display of storefront content, including promotional advertisements. This powerful feature allows administrators to set dates and times to feature folios, videos, ads, related apps and more, giving publishers the ability to align their storefront content with promotional campaigns, as well as limit access to licensed content within a set timeframe. These scheduling priorities can be adjusted in Portico's admin module at any time, avoiding updates to the app marketplace.

The Portico 2.6 template has been expanded to include additional targeted marketing opportunities for branded, custom app experiences. The template is designed with pre-built, interactive content opportunities to give app publishers a quick start to presenting everything from folios and multimedia to URL-linked ads and related apps.

"Portico 2.6 extends even greater customization and control over branded app content for publishers who want to directly reach their audiences with a turnkey solution," said Brett Kizner, MEI's director of new product marketing. "These new features, paired with optimized Portico 2.6 templates, give app publishers the advantage of a complete, interactive roadmap to creating multiple, immersive app experiences for their brands."
