Xerox Helps IT Service Providers Capture More Revenue with Remote Print Management

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Xerox is helping IT service providers capture more business with a new plug-in solution for remote monitoring and management (RMM) software. The offering will integrate Xerox’s printer discovery and monitoring capabilities with RMM software from LabTech, a global IT software developer for managed service providers and other IT professionals.

Beta testing will begin in January 2014. Xerox will demonstrate its RMM solution at IT Nation 2013, Nov. 13-15, in Orlando, Fla.

The RMM solution features a single dashboard that automatically provides timely information on printer activity and communicates error messages such as paper jams or low consumable levels. The offering supports networked printers and multifunction devices regardless of the manufacturer.

With this new integration, IT service providers can deliver a printer monitoring service to their customers, allowing organizations to focus on their core business. LabTech is the first RMM provider to incorporate Xerox’s solution.

“The IT and document service markets are converging, and Xerox is helping resellers capitalize on opportunities within each,” said Douraid Zaghouani, president, Channel Partner Operations, Xerox Technology. “Our integration with LabTech is another step toward making it easy for IT service providers to generate new recurring revenue streams and grow their businesses by managing print as well.”

“This integration will unlock significant productivity benefits for managed service providers by enabling them to deliver innovative remote print management services to their clients using a single pane of glass within LabTech,” said Matt Nachtrab, CEO, LabTech Software.
