India's Kapoor Imaging Signs License Agreement with RBP Chemical Technology

Press release from the issuing company

MILWAUKEE, WIS. - RBP Chemical Technology, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, announced today an agreement with Kapoor Imaging Pvt Ltd to license the blending and distribution of its pressroom chemistries line in India. After a presence in India for more than six years, RBP recognized the need to partner with a locally-respected supplier to support its efforts in growing its business in the region and globally.

Chennai-based Kapoor Imaging is a well known name in the Indian news and commercial print industry, with branches in Chennai, Sivakasi, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Cochin, Bangalore, Kolkata, Cuttack and New Delhi. In partnering with Kapoor, RBP will benefit by further penetrating the South Asia region while Kapoor adds RBP’s arsenal of proven pressroom chemistry solutions to its competitive offerings of software, systems and consumables. Kapoor customers will now have a locally-available supply of western-developed press room chemistry including silicones, fountain concentrates and press washes.

“This agreement is filling a market need by providing Indian newspaper and commercial sheet fed printers a line of superior pressroom chemistry supply options through a well-known, reputable and local supplier,” explains Mark Kannenberg, president, RBP Chemical Technology. “By combining Kapoor's established sales force and RBP’s experienced chemists and vast pressroom knowledge, we expect to see significant growth in this market.”

Sunil Kapoor, managing director, Kapoor Imaging, expects customers will be receptive to the addition of RBP's chemistry to its existing plate and blanket business. He attributes this to the fact that the South Asia market values a more competitive environment through a greater variety of options and improved technology.

“RBP has a strong track record for improving efficiencies in the pressroom resulting in cost savings to the customer,” adds Kapoor. “Our customers will gladly welcome expertise and guidance that gives them an edge.”
