Have Web-to-Print Questions?

Join our free WhatTheyThink webinar, sponsored by PTI, for tips on selecting the right web-to-print solution

Lexington, Kentucky USA -- WhatTheyThink today announced the opportunity for industry professionals to attend a free printing industry educational webinar. Selecting the Right Web-to-Print Solution will be moderated by WhatTheyThink Senior Editor Cary Sherburne and feature three web-to-print users: a commercial printer, an in-plant printer and an enterprise user. The session is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16th, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EDT (-4 GMT) and is sponsored by PTI Marketing Technologies (formerly Printable Technologies). This is Part One of a Two-Part series.  Part Two, scheduled for December 4th at 2:00 to 3:00 PM EST (-5 GMT) will cover sales and implementation issues related to web-to-print.

Registration is now open

“It’s pretty clear to most printing operations that having a customer-facing web interface is an important aspect of doing business in today’s digital world,” said Sherburne. “And with the rapid changes that are taking place in the world of web-to-print, it may also be time for some who already have a solution in place to look at new market developments to determine whether to update their presence. We are excited to have representatives from across the ecosystem in this discussion to provide a well-rounded view of selection best practices.”

Sherburne will be joined by:

  • Timothy C. Dust, President, F.P. Horak. Dust is currently responsible for management of daily operations, personnel development sales growth and the implementation of F.P. Horak’s vision. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1882 and began his printing career. Tim started working at F.P. Horak as a direct sales representative in 1987.  His efforts and ability to land new accounts helped F.P. Horak’s revenue grow at an average of 20% between 1987 and 1992.  In 1990, he was promoted to General Sales Manager and in 1995, promoted to his current position.
  • Les Barker, Senior Information Officer, World Bank. Barker has been a staff member at the World Bank for more than 30 years. He started out as a Cartographer (mapmaker) using traditional print technology and has been an active participant and champion of digital print technology, content management and deployment. In his role as a Senior Information Officer, he is responsible for managing and supporting the information technology infrastructure for the Printing and Multimedia Services Division of the World Bank.

The enterprise participant will be announced at a later date.

“We continue to talk about the importance of web-to-print within the printing industry,” said Randy Davidson, CEO of WhatTheyThink, “and webinars on this topic continue to be one of our most popular. We appreciate PTI’s generosity in sponsoring this important industry event, making it available to our viewers at no charge.

Attendees will be able to participate in a live question and answer session to get the most from the experience and will be able to view and listen to the presentation using a standard Internet browser with audio streamed via computer.
