Toray Plastics Appoints Michael Brandmeier EVP

Additional executive promotions are announced for the Torayfan® and Lumirror® divisions and Corporate Human Resources and Environmental Health and Safety.

North Kingstown, Rhode Island - Toray Plastics (America), Inc., announces that Michael Brandmeier has been promoted to the position of Executive Vice President and will assume responsibility for the company's three divisions - Torayfan® (polypropylene film), Lumirror® (polyester film), and Toraypef® (polyolefin foam). He will continue to be a member of the Board of Directors. Brandmeier was formerly the company's Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Torayfan Division. He joined Toray in 1995 as a Director of Sales for the Torayfan Division, rising to the positions of Senior Director of Sales and then Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Brandmeier launched his career in the plastic-film industry 33 years ago at Mobil Chemical Company.

Toray also announces three other important organizational changes:

Scott Van Winter has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Lumirror Division. He previously served as Vice President and General Manager. In 2007 Van Winter was appointed the Director and General Manager of the Lumirror Division after acting as its Director of Sales and Marketing. He has been in the plastics industry for 25 years, having joined Toray in 2004 as the Director of Industrial Sales after a variety of successful roles, including that of Vice President of OPS Sheet and Specialty Films for Alcoa Kama Company.

Christopher Roy is now General Manager of the Torayfan Division, having previously been the division's Senior Director of Sales and Marketing. Roy has also held the positions of Director of Sales and Marketing and Director of National Sales. He joined Toray in 1998 after seven successful years with Mid-America Plastics, Inc., where he held the position of Vice President.Prior to working at Mid-America Plastics, Roy was with EDS in Dallas, Texas in finance.

Lisa Ahart has been promoted to the position of Vice President, U.S. Corporate Human Resources and Environmental Health and Safety. She most recently held the position of Senior Director of Human Resources, incorporating responsibility for Toray's Environmental Health and Safety Department. Ahart joined Toray in 2003 as a Human Resources Manager. She launched her career in human resources at Rhode Island Hospital and also worked at the Rhode Island School of Design. Ahart holds an M.S. in human resources from the University of Rhode Island and is certified as both a Senior Professional and a Global Professional in human resources.
