NAPL Releases The New Graphic Arts CEO, A ‘User’s Manual’ for Industry CEOs

Press release from the issuing company

Author Robert H. Rosen provides guide to help CEOs maximize profits from current business while repositioning their companies for the future

East Rutherford, N.J. - The National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL) announces the release of a major new book: The New Graphic Arts CEO: Getting Your Company Safely from Here to There. Authored by Robert H. Rosen, President of R.H. Rosen Associates, a consulting firm that has advised the CEOs of more than 600 graphic arts companies, the new book looks at how top-performing CEOs move their companies forward while maximizing profits from their current business.

“Wouldn’t it be nice if being a CEO came with a User’s Manual? Now it does,” says NAPL President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph P. Truncale, Ph.D. “The New Graphic Arts CEO provides the help CEOs need as they search for new kinds of business while dealing with the reality of their existing business.”

“You need a dual strategy that will buy you time and generate the money needed to make the changes you’re considering. It starts with extracting as much profit as you can from your existing business while moving in new directions at the same time,” says Rosen. “Whatseparates the thriving companies from those that are struggling? How do the top performers continue producing such superior results? These are the questions we answer in The New Graphic Arts CEO.”

The 400+ page hardcover book offers hundreds of specific suggestions for making a business transition?getting from here to there?easier and more profitable. It’s not about theory; it’s about practices that have been proven in the real world and work, enabling CEOs to make the major changes they have to make without endangering their companies’ well-being.

Even though the book is filled with specific ideas for action, it recognizes there isn’t one right answer for every company. “The CEO is the only person who can decide how to put various tools and ideas to use in their own company,” says Rosen. “This book will help CEOs choose their own approach for their own companies?on the way to becoming the CEO their companies need them to be.”

Early reviews of the new book have been enthusiastic. “The New Graphic Arts CEO is a must-read for every senior-level executive in the industry. If you read only one business book this year, make it this one!” says Katherine O'Brien, Senior Editor at American Printer, OutputLinks Communications Group.

“Bob Rosen’s wealth of consulting experience has proven there’s no single model for you to follow. Every company is different, and Bob tells you how to reinvent your business in your own way,” notes Frank Romano, Professor Emeritus, Rochester Institute of Technology.

“This is a unique book from someone who’s seen it all in our industry. Bob offers practical help across all areas of your business?from sales and marketing to operations?from building internal capabilities to considering mergers as a means of building sales volume and adding new capabilities,” says Truncale in the book’s foreword. “It is a seminal work that serves as a mirror for every graphic arts CEO. It addresses the ‘why’ and the ‘how,’ and offers you a tool kit, a go-to resource, a way to understand and transform your company.”

The New Graphic Arts CEO is available exclusively through NAPL. It retails for $149 in hardcover format. To order, go to www.napl.org and click on the “Store” button, or call (800) 642-6275.
