New Colter & Peterson products and partnership agreement make for successful Print ‘13

Press release from the issuing company

Paterson, NJ – With the successful introduction of a 57-inch dual rotary knife precision sheeter and a strategic sales partnership announcement with Komori America Corporation leading the way, Colter & Peterson attracted a high level of attention at Print ’13, held September 8-12 in Chicago.

“With the exception of the last day at the show, I was very happy with the amount of people that made it a point to stop by and talk with us,” said Bruce Peterson, President of Colter & Peterson, North America’s largest independent distributor of paper cutters and paper handling equipment.  “The interest in our new precision sheeter was unbelievable and better than I expected.  Our sales partnership agreement with Komori also generated a lot of traffic for the Saber® and Prism® paper cutter brand lines.”

Colter & Peterson demonstrated a 45-inch Saber X15 cutter in the Komori America Corporation booth as part of the new strategic sales partnership announced on September 3.  It reconnects the two companies that previously worked together through multiple dealers across the U.S. in the 1990s until 2002.  Komori will now market and sell C&P ancillary print finishing equipment as part of the KomoriKare program in the United States.

The new 57-inch dual rotary knife precision sheeter was in action at the Shanghai Eureka Machinery booth.  Operated in combination with a user-friendly Accutrim HD1680 three knife trimmer, it impressed many show visitors with its innovative, modular design and the newest technology with Siemens electronics.  But the sheeter’s highest praise was earned for its unique ability to cut up to 800 feet per minute with a +/- .010 inch cutoff accuracy.  Fast and efficient, it develops 57-inch tall skids and offers slitter capacity.

The highly popular Saber paper cutters are manufactured to ISO-9001 standards with cutting edge technology.  Incredibly reliable, they offer automatic knife adjustment, Microcut 15-inch touch screen controls and many other outstanding features.

C&P had a trio of paper cutters working in the booth.  The space-saving Prism PC® 27-inch model and the Prism 30-inch and 45-inch cutters are perfect for digital and variable data printing situations. State-of-the-art technology includes the time-saving Microcut computer control system, which counts over 30,000 installations worldwide.

“I was impressed by the number of high quality leads that we came away with at the Print show,” concluded Peterson.  “People came prepared and asked a lot of good questions.  We received many good comments and I feel good that we have in-demand, cost-effective equipment that is built to last and exceeds customer expectations.”
