Industry Leader Michael Lambert Joins Bell and Howell as VP, Enterprise Solutions Group

Press release from the issuing company

Will Oversee Expansion of Workflow Automation and Digital Communications Solutions

Durham, N.C. – Bell and Howell, a leading global provider of multi-channel communications solutions for print, Web and mobile delivery, has announced the hiring of enterprise architecture pioneer Michael Lambert as Vice President of the company’s new Enterprise Solutions Group. Lambert will draw from his tremendous industry knowledge and ability to translate complex solutions into straightforward customer benefits to further enable Bell and Howell’s continued improvement in workflow automation and customer communication distribution services. He will also oversee expansion into new lines of business with digital messaging design and creation solutions.

Lambert brings a strong customer perspective, having spent 23 years at CIGNA Healthcare designing and implementing its enterprise customer communications architecture from data design solutions to developing the automated document factory (ADF) in its print-to-mail operations. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Business Development for Sefas Innovation, a strategic solution provider for Bell and Howell.

In addition to his corporate contributions, Lambert is viewed in the industry as a thought leader. He has helped establish and chair several user groups including the Exstream, EMTEX and Sefas user groups; has been a member of XPLOR for more than 25 years; participated in several Joint Technology Council initiatives; and was on the Strategic Advisory Council for ANACOMP and the Advisory Board for Return Mail Solutions.

In this newly created position, Lambert will oversee Bell and Howell’s Enterprise Solutions Group, which will encompass the following product lines and operations:

  • ADF and Vision
  • Multi-Channel Messaging and Mobile Mail
  • Document Composition and Workflow Automation
  • Software Sales
  • Software Technical Solutions
  • Professional Services

“Mike’s strengths are in ADF solutions, enterprise workflow, integrity and tracking systems, and software solutions to create and distribute customer communications,” said Les Stern, CEO and President. “In each of these areas, he has demonstrated the ability to consult with customers, define their needs, and create solutions in a highly consultative manner. He also has a proven track record of effecting change and improving financial results by driving innovation and improving customer service, and it is a real coup to have him as part of Bell and Howell’s management team.”

Stern added that with Lambert’s new role to drive customer communications solutions, Bell and Howell will also expand its business offerings to include new solutions in messaging and composition not currently offered by the company.

“I’m truly looking forward to working with the team and feel there’s tremendous opportunity to help evolve the current solutions to accommodate the ever-changing world of customer communications,” said Lambert. “My goal is to better position Bell and Howell and its customers to meet these challenges head on.”
