Chicago, IL - Kern, a global leader in high-speed, end-to-end production mail and document management solutions is pleased to announce new models of the Kern iMpres at PRINT 13. The Kern iMpres, an advanced production monochrome inkjet printing system announced in April, is now available in the “40 series” models thanks to advances in inkjet head technology from industry pioneer Graph-Tech, a Domino Company. The Kern iMpres 40 series is capable of speeds of up to 200 meters/656 feet per minute at the full print resolution of 600 DPI and variable drop sizes for the highest possible quality at benchmark speeds. The Kern iMpres 40 series still maintains the advantages previously launched, including the smallest footprint for a production inkjet printing system and the advanced fluid controls that drive industry best quality and reliability.

“The 40 series Kern iMpres hits the reset button on the economics and throughput of production print” said Dave Squires, SVP, Strategy for Kern, Inc. “By employing the latest and most advanced inkjet technology, the Kern iMpres can deliver production capacity and
quality at industry lowest price points.”

The Kern iMpres 40-series is available in models with print widths of up to 30” and is available with a variety of pre and post and print validation systems directly from Kern.
