Press release from the issuing company

ATLANTA, Ga – Alliance Safety Council supported a recent TAPPI membership drive targeted at students and young professionals by sponsoring 50 new members.  The memberships are given to undergraduate students in paper/packaging programs as well as professionals entering the industry. The Alliance Safety Council works with TAPPI on the TAPPISAFE safety orientation program.

“We’re very pleased to have been able to sponsor these young professionals and undergraduate students to become members of TAPPI,” notes Kathy Trahan, President/CEO  with Alliance Safety Council. “The contributions made by new members are critical to the success of both the industry and the association. Membership in TAPPI provides a wide range of benefits for these young professionals and students including professional enrichment, networking with peers and the many educational and learning opportunities offered by TAPPI.”

“We are very grateful for Alliance Safety Council’s support of TAPPI by their sponsorship of these students and young professionals to become TAPPI members,” said Larry N. Montague, TAPPI President and CEO. “The association, as well as the pulp and paper industry, needs the active participation of young science and engineering students and professionals in order to continue to grow and prosper in the years ahead.”
