Goss launches microsite for Goss M-600 Folia press

Press release from the issuing company

December 17th, 2008 – Technical information, 3-D animations, articles, and images explaining the Goss M-600 Folia web press are now available at a new "microsite" accessible at www.gossinternational.com/Folia.

Goss International introduced the M-600 Folia press at the drupa show in June as a higher-productivity alternative to sheetfed perfectors. The press utilizes conventional web offset printing units, sheetfed inks and innovative sheeter technology developed with VITS to print on coated stocks without a heatset dryer. The new microsite includes extensive information, including a new white paper, explaining the technical features and market applications of the press.

In live demonstrations at drupa, the M-600 Folia press printed 30,000 sheets per hour. The system is fed by paper rolls. Blanket-to-blanket perfecting eliminates non-print gutters, allowing the entire sheet format to be used. The length of the new press is similar to that of a long perfector, and additional units can be added for special colors or various coating options.
