Santa Ana, CA. - At PRINT 13, Duplo USA Corporation will be showcasing its largest range of digital print finishing products yet and producing a wider spectrum of unique applications than even before! Visitors to the booth will have the opportunity to see live workflow demonstrations highlighting complete digital print finishing and hard cover book making processes.

DIGITAL COLOR FINISHERS

Making its debut is Duplo’s new mid-range digital color finisher, the DC-646 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser. Set to succeed the popular DC-645 model, the DC-646 provides small to mid-volume printers the ability to produce a wider range of unique full-bleed documents with more efficiency and flexibility. Performing up to 6 slits, 25 cuts and 20 creases in a single pass, the DC-646 eliminates white borders and prevents toner cracking on fold lines up to 30 sheets per minute and also offers optional rotary tool and cross perforating modules for increased versatility. With the DC-646, users can create 24-up business cards, slit-score greeting cards, micro-perforated coupons, and much more!

The high production DC-745 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser, NAQP’s 2012 Product of the Year, and the DC-645 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser featuring its new JDF capabilities will be on the show floor as well along with theDC-445, DC-615 and DC-745 Integrated Folding Systems.

SADDLE STITCHING AND BOOKLETMAKING SYSTEMS

Also debuting at PRINT 13 is the entry-level 150C Booklet System, which incorporates the new DBM-150 Bookletmaker with the DSC-10/20 Suction Collator. New features on the DBM-150 Bookletmaker include an Isaberg Rapid Stapler with superior stapler mechanism included in each cartridge for reliable stapling, the ability to process a wider range of sheet sizes up to 12” x 18”, and a 16-job memory for fast setup. Optional features include a corner and side stapling kit as well as a sheet-by-sheet kit. Ideal for low volume production, the 150C Booklet System produces up to 2,400 booklets per hour and offers the reliability for efficient bookletmaking.

Other systems on exhibit include the DBMi Duetto Saddle System, Duplo’s combined sheet feeding and collating saddle stitching system, the 350 Digital Booklet System with the Square Spine module, the500Pro Digital Booklet System, and the 500i Booklet System.

DIE CUTTER

See the UD-300 On Demand Die Cutter produce a variety of custom-shaped pieces, retail packages, labels, and folded boxes on demand. Designed for use with flexible dies, the UD-300 performs multiple cuts, slits, slit-scores, kiss cuts, perforations, and window punches on a range of paper stock up to 14” x 20” at 3,000 sheets per hour. Compact in size and easy to use, the UD-300 Die Cutter provides a cost-efficient solution with fast die changeover and set up times – making it a great solution for the graphic arts and packaging market.

UV COATERS

The new Ultra 300Ai In-Line UV Coater with the SF-200 PLUS Suction Feeder and the low volume Ultra 100A UV Coater with the Hand Feed Module will be demonstrated as well. The Ultra 300Ai applies a smear-free gloss, satin or matte finish to offset and digitally printed documents at high speeds of up to 148 feet per minute. The Ultra 300Ai is fully connectable in-line with any HP Indigo 7x00 digital press or can be connected to other digital printers via a bridge unit. The Ultra 300Ai accommodates the output speed from most digital presses and processes a variety of paper sizes, from 8.5" x 11" to 20" x 28", up to 350 gsm.

PERFECT BINDERS

Showcasing in the perfect binding area will be the KB-4000 PUR, DPB-500 and DB-280 Perfect Binders. The two-in-one KB-4000 PUR provides a perfect solution for short-run PUR perfect binding as it applies PUR melt to the spine for strong adhesive binding and EVA hot melt side glue for faster finishing. Book blocks produced on these binders will be a part of our live hard cover book making workflow process.

HARD COVER BOOK MAKING SYSTEM 

Also on display will be the Mitabook, a hard cover casing-in solution designed to economically produce short-run hard cover and photo books on demand. The Mitabook automatically feeds and glues book blocks onto pre-made hard covers and delivers finished books in a matter of minutes with only a single operator required. For a complete solution, users can use the Mitacase to create quality hard covers and the Mitamax to create book blocks quickly and efficiently.

The new DF-1200 Air Suction and DF-980 Automatic Tabletop Folders along with the CF375 Touchline for high-speed creasing and folding and the CP375 Touchline for high-speed creasing and perforating will be on the floor as well. Other products on display include the new DP-L510 Digital Duplicator, the CC-330 and CC-228 Card Cutters, and the 660P Hydraulic Cutter.
