Press release from the issuing company

SPRINGFIELD, MA - In addition to sitting in on presentations from business, legislative, and trends experts, including renowned economist Dr. Jeffrey Rosensweig of Emory University, President and CEO of the AF&PA Donna Harman, and Vice President of Perception Research Services Mary Cooper, on October 25, 2013, at the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC)’s Fall Meeting and Leadership Conference in Dallas, TX, attendees will tour American Carton Co. and Southern Champion Tray.

Established in 1992, American Carton Co. (www.americancarton.com) is a second-generation, women-owned, full-service folding carton firm that designs and manufactures packaging solutions for the pharmaceutical, food, medical device, and consumer product industries.

Founded in 1927, Southern Champion Tray (www.sctray.com) is a third-generation, family-owned paperboard packaging converter that serves both the domestic and export markets. They manufacture a stock line of packaging for bakery, food service, grocery, and institutional markets, and produces custom packaging in up to seven colors on both web-fed flexo and sheet-fed offset printers.

“Attendees will be able to round out a full meeting agenda with enriching visits to their colleagues’ facilities,” noted Ben Markens, PPC President. “Here they will learn best practices in folding carton converting and have a chance to ask questions and receive direct answers.”
