Production Inkjet: Making the Right Choice

Press release from the issuing company

Free WhatTheyThink webinar, sponsored by Xerox, discusses making production inkjet investment decisions

Lexington, Kentucky USA - WhatTheyThink today announced that more than 400 industry professionals registered to attend a free printing industry educational webinar, Production Inkjet: Making the Right Choices. The session was moderated by WhatTheyThink Senior Editor Cary Sherburne and featured two printers who have added production inkjet to their operations. The session was scheduled for Wednesday, August 7th.

The free session archive is available by visiting WhatTheyThink.com and selecting the Webinars tab.

“Based on the number of folks that registered for this event and their interactivity during the session with questions,” said Sherburne, “this is clearly a hot topic as we head into Print 2013.  The panelists did an excellent job of articulating the benefit of production inkjet for their respective businesses. It was also a pleasure to have an international panel, with representation from Canada and The Netherlands.”

A free white paper that delves into production inkjet technologies is available for download from the archived session. This valuable tool will also assist potential buyers in the selection process.

Sherburne was joined by representatives from two companies with different backgrounds and stories to tell:

  • Brian Wright, VP Operations, Gilmore Printing Services, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Gilmore is a full service modern printing operation featuring both offset and digital printing. The company has installed the first Xerox CiPress production inkjet press in Canada and is housed in more than 400,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
  • Gert-Jan ten Klei, Co-Owner and Founder, Pondres, The Netherlands. Pondres is a specialist in data-driven marketing with strategic expertise in cross-media, print, direct mail and fulfillment.  Known as an innovative, quality-oriented and socially conscious company, Pondres has 160 employees and is the owner of an Xerox Impika iPrint production inkjet press.

“Production inkjet is clearly an important technology that is helping to move the printing industry forward,” said Randy Davidson, CEO of WhatTheyThink. “This session shed light on how companies are making buying decisions in this space and acts to reduce market confusion. We appreciate the generosity of Xerox Corporation in sponsoring this important industry event, making it available to our viewers at no charge.
